Meet joe - our new coach

Joe recently joined us as a skateboard coach and will be helping out behind the scenes too. We are delighted to have him on the team and are already receiving great feedback on his sessions.

A 40-something dad and husband, with boundless energy, enthusiasm and zest for life, Joe doesn’t sit still much and in fact hasn’t sat down at a desk for over three years. A firm believer that life is for living, Joe has travelled to over 70 countries across the globe, driven an old ambulance across the sahara desert, and once ran 7 marathons in 7 days for charity.

A walking encyclopedia of skateboard history and culture, Joe first stood on a skateboard in 1985, aged 3. Fast forward forty years, and Joe can still be seen wobbling about on one in the skate parks of West Oxfordshire, his rapidly greying hair flashing in the sun.

With limbs no longer made of rubber and memories of flip tricks down big sets of stairs fading, Joe now channels his huge love of skateboarding into providing fun, safe and inspiring lessons for kids and adults alike. Skateboarding has taught Joe a lot and for him it is a pleasure and a privilege to share his passion and to help inspire the next generation of skateboarders.
