Our after school provision
Safety First: Skateboarding and scootering are exciting sports, but like all physical activities, they carry a risk of injury. By joining our sessions, you acknowledge and accept this risk. Safety Rules:
Shoes: Flat sole shoes must be worn (no sandals, heels, or slip-ons).
Equipment: Report any damaged or faulty gear to the coach.
Safety gear: Helmets, pads, and wrist guards must be worn at all times — even when not riding.
Respect: Handle skateboards and scooters with care (yours or ours).
Awareness: Be mindful of others and move safely around the space.
Tricks: Only attempt new tricks when the coach has said you’re ready.
Health: Let us know of any relevant medical issues.
Emergencies: Be aware of fire exits and assembly points.
Concerns: Report any issues with other participants to the coach immediately.
Safeguarding: Our clubs are safe, welcoming spaces where children can enjoy learning new skills. To maintain this environment, all participants must be willing to engage in the activity. While we do not force participation, our coaches need to give their full attention to the group and cannot provide one-to-one supervision for children who are not participating. Children who refuse to take part or frequently wander off can create safety risks and disrupt the session for others. If a child repeatedly refuses to take part or leaves the activity area without permission, we may ask that they no longer attend the club. Please talk to your child before joining to make sure they understand the expectations and are excited to take part.
Refunds: Due to the nature of the club and the continuation of after-school care, refunds will not be issued if a child chooses not to participate in one or more sessions. We encourage children to give it a try and we understand that they may sometimes feel too tired or not up to it. However, no refunds will be given as childcare is still being provided. If your child decides to stop attending altogether, we will do our best to find another rider to take over the spot and refund the remaining sessions but we cannot guarantee that the spot will be filled. Refunds are not available for missed sessions, even with notice as the club is booked by term and dates are agreed when booking.
Weather & Indoor Sessions: Sessions will be moved indoors if the weather is unsuitable. If the school hall is unavailable, we will relocate to a classroom where children will take part in other community-building activities and skateboarding related arts & crafts.
Collection: Children must be collected promptly at the end of each session. If you require a later collection, please arrange this directly with the school in advance. A late collection fee will apply if pickups go beyond the agreed time, as additional staffing is required.
